Settings & appearance

Everything in the Settings view — AI key and model, accent color, fonts, density, and the workspace manifest.

Open Settings with ⌘,, the gear icon in the activity bar, or View: Settings from the command palette. Four sections, top to bottom.

Anthropic API key

Powers generation, chat, and ai-action nodes. Paste a key and Save key; Remove key deletes it. It’s stored in your OS keychain — never in a file, never in the workspace. Full details: Connect your AI key.

Default AI model

Which Claude model the AI features use: Claude Opus 4.8 (the default, most capable), Claude Sonnet 5, or Claude Haiku 4.5 (fastest and cheapest).

Appearance

  • Accent color — Blue, Teal, or Neutral. This is the selection/action color throughout the app.
  • Font size — a 10–20px slider for the UI and editors.
  • Editor font — System mono, Menlo, Monaco, or Courier New.
  • Density — Comfortable or Compact; Compact tightens spacing for smaller screens.

Changes apply immediately, and they’re per-machine preferences — nothing here touches the workspace or its files.

Workspace

The current project as Bandura sees it: its name and how many environments its bandura.json defines. From here you can Edit bandura.json (opens it as a tab) or, if the workspace has no manifest yet, Initialize bandura.json to create one — see Variables & environments for what goes in it.
